Additional environmental sensors to provide obstacle detection capability are available for use in less controlled environments where unknown environmental factors, such as wildlife, may hinder the vehicle's operation. Obstacle detection allows the AVS™ to respond to any unanticipated obstruction of the course and bring the vehicle to a controlled stop, avoiding a collision. Obstacle avoidance, which allows the vehicle to maneuver around a detected obstacle and resume the mission, is available in certain situations.
Telemetry logging can be tailored to meet the requirements of the specific application. Data feeds from the AVS™ are available to monitor any observed vehicle operating parameter in real time. This data can be segregated and packaged for transmission over any data-compatible portable radio system.
