Paul has been programming for thirteen years, eight of which have been spent working with enterprise-level Java for the Gray Insurance Company. Besides managing the development team and working as one of the primary programmers, Paul has been instrumental in Team Gray's success through his contribution of optimization and multithreaded design methods that have helped Team Gray rise to the top.
Jorge Nagel Jorge Nagel

Jorge heads up the physical design side of Team Gray's vehicles. Besides being an accomplished Biomedical and Mechanical engineer, Jorge is also on of the team's leading expert on control systems and robotics. He is currently working to perfect Team Gray's vehicle control algorithms and sensor integration.
Matthew Dooner Matthew Dooner
Tulane University - B.S. Computer Science
Matt's broad experience with system architecture has allowed him to fine-tune Team Gray's intelligence and low-level systems. Besides taking on the roles of systems analyst and computer programmer, Matt is also a successful racecar driver with numerous autocross wins to his name over the past five years.
Powell Kinney Powell Kinney
Tulane University - B.S. Biomedical Engineering
Powell works with Team Gray's artificial intelligence and geospatial processes. In addition to many years of programming experience, Powell contributes a physical engineering background rooted in Tulane University's Biomedical Engineering department. He has designed and implemented much of the mapping and control software in use by Team Gray. Powell is currently pursuing his Doctoral Degree.
Neil Traft Neil Traft
Tulane University - B.S. Computer Science and English
Neil is currently Team Gray's user interface designer. His expertise in graphical user interfaces for both Linux and Windows platforms has helped the team grow a full-featured control and visualization suite. In addition, Neil brings to the team ample know-how in the field of AI robotics and human-robot interaction (HRI). While earning his undergraduate degree he worked on numerous robotics applications, including projects which have been exhibited at the AAAI 2006 conference in Boston and the Louisiana Children's Museum in New Orleans.
Michael Dewenter Michael Dewenter
University of New Orleans - B.S. Electrical Engineering
Michael works as the team's electrical engineer, designing and building the custom circuit boards that make up the electronic systems in Team Gray's vehicles. His prior experience includes working with a broad range of devices from security systems to electronic music synthesizers as well as petrochemical instrumentation and controls. He is currently working to design and implement intelligent power systems and control circuitry for Team Gray's vehicles.
Matthew Hardey Matthew Hardey
Louisiana State University – B.S. – Economics and Finance
Matt works as the Operations and Business Development Manager for Team Gray. Prior to joining the team in 2006, he spent 18 years as Chief Financial Officer of a NYSE-traded oilfield services company, and prior to that spent 15 years in commercial banking in south Louisiana.
